The problem with these projects is that each of them are probably made for a certain type of sound, ex. one for popular music, one for more emotional stuff, one for classical music, and it means that on the average cd, we won't have the diversity we were used to with Sweetbox and JV. I liked the fact that on a Jade cd, the songs go from classical, to popular music, to dance, to pop, to ballads, to acoustics, and each song was really different and under a different genre. But lets face it, the Eternity cd was all the same exact genre pretty much, just the songs were either slow or upbeat. And I think that's how these cd's are going to be from now on with each project focusing on a different sound.
I just don't know why they don't feel they can keep the diversity all in one project. They don't need to 'dumb it up' for people who aren't intelligent enough to enjoy a cd of variety, they need to stand out and make their own standards in music. That's what they did with Sweetbox, and thats why with Sweetbox, although not the most stardom band in the world, they had an exclusive niche that everyone seemed to recognize. If you wanted to listen to experimental classical pop, you listen to Sweetbox, and that was that. With work, Jade Valerie could have built the exact same fan base, with maybe even a bigger one, as JV put a 'popular music' touch to the experimental style. But I truly feel that other projects just won't become successful.
